Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor
He graduated from the National Pharmaceutical University in 2005 with honors, defending thesis on “Development of the composition and technology of a semisolid dosage form with antimicrobial activity” under the guidance of Professor V. I. Chueshov at the Industrial Pharmacy department. In 2006, he started full-time postgraduate studies at the Industrial Pharmacy department. Under the supervision of Professor V. I. Chueshov, in 2009 he defended his PhD thesis ahead of schedule on the topic “Development of the composition and technology of a semisolid dosage form with chlorophyllipt extract”.
Since 2009, he has been working as an assistant, and since 2012 – as an associate professor of the Drugs technology department. He received a certificate of completion of English language courses at the linguistic center of the Foreign languages faculty of V. N. Karazin KhNU of the “Upper Intermediate” level, as well as “Advanced” at the Foreign languages department of the NUPH. Completed an internship abroad (Slovenia, Ljubljana. «Educational management administration and leadership»).
Kovalev V. V. gives lectures, conducts laboratory, practical and seminar classes on Pharmacy-based technology of drugs, Biopharmacy, Methodology and logic of scientific research, Methodology and methods of scientific analysis for Ukrainian and English-speaking students. Participates in the creation of lecture material, co-author of textbooks, methodological recommendations in Ukrainian, Russian and English (“Electronic textbook on Pharmacy-based technology of drugs for independent extracurricular work of students” (2015), “Guidelines for the implementation of the master’s thesis from the pharmacy-based technology of drugs” (2017), “Workbook for pharmacy-based technology of drugs”(2019) and others).
He is a co-author of more than 60 publications, including in professional publications, 4 articles indexed by the Scopus and Web of science databases, 2 Ukrainian utility model patents, 2 informational letters, 2 author’s certificates, 2 monographs (including foreign ones).
He is a member of the Ukrainian Association of apitherapists. Develops and updates distance-learning courses (Moodle platform). Executive Secretary of the annual international scientific and practical Internet Conference “Technological and biopharmaceutical aspects of creating medicines of various directions of action”. Takes an active part in sports competitions in athletics.
