In 1987, she enrolled in Kharkiv Pharmaceutical Institute, from which she graduated with honors in 1992.

 

In 2019, she completed her studies at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University with a degree in Management.

 

Since 1992, she has been working at the National Pharmaceutical Institute, starting as a senior laboratory assistant (1992), then as an assistant (1992-1999), followed by her appointment as an associate professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of Drugs (1999-2004). She continued as an associate professor at the Department of Drug Technology from 2004 until 2023, and as of 2023, she is an associate professor at the institution of higher education at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of Drugs.

 

In 1998, under the guidance of Prof. O.I. Tikhonov, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Development of the composition and technology of ointment with a lipophilic extract of bee bread” in the specialty 15.00.01 “Technology of drugs and industrial pharmacy.”

 

Nataliia  Zhyvora’s research focuses on the study and utilization of natural compounds in drug technology, as well as the development of soft medicinal preparations based on them. She is a co-author of a new pharmaceutical substance – a lipophilic extract of bee bread, and a medicinal product – “Lipovit.” The State Pharmacological Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has approved a report on the conduct of the first phase of clinical trials of the ointment and recommended the conduct of the second phase of clinical trials.

 

She has published over 70 scientific works, including 3 patents, 4 informational letters, and approximately 30 articles in scientific journals. She has also participated in international scientific and practical conferences.

 

At the Department of Drug Technology, she delivers lectures and conducts laboratory and seminar classes on subjects such as “Drug Technology,” “Technology of Medicinal Products,” “Biopharmaceutics,” and “Methodology and Logic of Scientific Research.”

 

Nataliia Zhyvora is a co-author of educational textbooks, including “Textbook on Pharmaceutical Technology of Drugs” (2002); “Requirements for the Manufacture of Non-Sterile Medicinal Products in Pharmacy Conditions” (2005); “Collection of Tests on Pharmaceutical Technology of Drugs for Specialties ‘Pharmacy’ and ‘Clinical Pharmacy'” (2008); “Methodology of Teaching Pharmaceutical Technology of Drugs” (2011); “Applicant of the National Pharmaceutical University” (2003-2015); as well as Methodological Recommendations for the Execution and Design of Coursework for Students of the Specialty ‘Pharmacy’ (2009). She actively participates in the development of work programs for drug technology, new lectures, the compilation of examination materials, and more.

 

For significant contributions to the development of pharmaceutical science and the industry as a whole, she has been recognized with awards: a Diploma of the 2nd degree from the Regional Forum ‘Education, Science, Production – Paths of Integration’ in the category ‘Work of Young Scientists’ for her research on the development and implementation of new medicinal products based on natural biologically active substances such as ‘Proporinol’ and ‘Lipovit’ (2002); a named scholarship from the Kharkiv Regional State Administration named after M.O. Valyashko for significant achievements in the field of science (2002); certificates of recognition from the Kyiv District Council of Kharkiv (2003), the Pharmaceutical Management of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (2004), and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2005); Acknowledgment from the Prime Minister of Ukraine (2018), Acknowledgment from the National Pharmaceutical University (2019), and an Honorary Diploma from the Mayor of Kharkiv (2023).

 

She is actively involved in community activities, serving as the curator of Dormitory No. 2 (1997-1999), responsible secretary of the Admissions Committee (2002-2005, 2013-2015, 2019-2021), deputy responsible secretary of the Admissions Committee (2001, 2005-2012, 2016-2018), chairman of the selection committee for document acceptance (2011-2012), and currently serving as the deputy responsible secretary of the Admissions Committee, chairman of the selection committee, and head of the educational centers “Donbas – Ukraine” and “Crimea – Ukraine,” as well as the dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Technologies and Management.”
