Meeting 1 was devoted to the topic “Higher education: opportunities and prospects”: graduates of the NUPh presented their stories of success in the field of education and science to the students of their native Alma mater.

The first success story was the vivid story of the rector of the NUPh, prof. Alla Kotvitska, who shared her steps of career growth within the walls of her native Alma mater: from a laboratory technician at the Department of OEF to the rector of the National Academy of Sciences.

Olha Mykhaylenko, a PhD student at NUPh, who during the war was engaged in scientific research in London, also told her success story. Ms. Olga faced a choice: to become an actress or to realize herself in pharmacy. By intuition, she ended up at the NUPh, where she has been building a scientific career for 20 years. Student Fm19(3,10)-01 Viktoriya Gurina, who is currently studying at the Vytautas the Great Lithuanian University under the Erasmus+ program, shared her success. A graduate of the Kharkiv Pharmaceutical Institute in 1989, who currently works as a full-time clinical pharmacist in the state of Michigan at Bronson Hospital. Mr. Serhii revealed his long, difficult, but meaningful and interesting experience of confirming a diploma in America.

Students asked questions, were interested. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of positivity and goodwill, the students learned that the diploma of the National Academy of Sciences opens the door to an interesting, thorough career life, and the participating teachers recalled their journey “from student to teacher”.
